My name is Atifa Shalwani, and I’m currently pursuing my graduate studies at SMU MADI, where I also serve as a Graduate Assistant. I’m based in the vibrant DFW metroplex, and I’m passionate about leveraging human-centered design methodologies to solve complex problems.
A Little About Me
I specialize in creating empathetic, user-focused solutions that drive innovation and make a meaningful impact. My experience spans across design research, strategy development, and project management, where I bring diverse teams together to craft holistic experiences that put people at the heart of the process. I have had the privilege of working with incredible clients like AT&T and Big Thought, and I am currently diving into the inspiring journeys of women entrepreneurs, learning from their unique stories and perspectives.

Beyond my professional life, I am fueled by a deep love for family—whether it’s spending quality time with my nephew or taking walks with my dog, I value connections that ground me. I also enjoy staying active through yoga and running, and I find strength in movement, both mentally and physically. My husband is my biggest supporter and partner-in-crime as we navigate life together.

My goal is to continue evolving in these areas while creating thoughtful, impactful experiences for both clients and users alike.
